Google is your friend. From wikipediaI hate to sound stupid but what is planking? I never heard of it.
"Planking" (or the "Lying Down Game") is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. Both hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the Internet is an integral part of the game.[1] Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play.[1] The term planking refers to mimicking a wooden plank. Rigidity of the body must be maintained to constitute good planking.
Since early 2011, many participants in planking have photographed the activity on unusual locations such as atop poles, roofs and vehicles. Planking can include lying flat on a flat surface, or holding the body flat while it's supported in only some regions, with other parts of the body suspended. Uh...I get everything my DW does. Especially since she reads forum pages too. Frank, some things are better left undisclosed. You'll live longerI just don't get that my wife insists on washing the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.
I still don't get using it to talk to other people, text seems better for that. But for tracking magazines, organizations and people of interest, it's wonderful. I check in every day, way more efficient than trying to follow interests manually. PM if you want a fuller explanation. I am glad I tried it...not at all what I expected.Twitter.
Just about. Twenty years ago or so I read an earlier edition of this book Amazon.com: You Just Don't Understand: Women and Men in Conversation (9780060959623): Deborah Tannen: Books and it was like the Book Of Revelations. "Oh, so that's why she does that!"
Still, so many times why she does what she does is still on the hazy edge of consciousness for me. The reverse is true for her. The brains are wired differently. Sometimes it's frustrating.
But she's cute.
I'm always puzzled by the "we won today" comments, you were sitting on your couch watching at the time...
+1. I definitely don't see the point of this....
That is why God invented paper bags.

Ask me how DW/my returns have done over the last three decades? Well, that's worth discussion...
One member of this board had their ISP's server go offline and thought it was something he'd done. The ISP help desk kept encouraging him to think it was something he'd done, too. Then he searched Twitter for the #hashtag of the ISP and found out that they'd had a power outage coupled with a backup generator failure. They weren't exactly forthcoming with their customers, but they were outed on Twitter within minutes.Twitter.
Not even when you were younger? Remember those earlier, distant years?I don't get people watching.
Victim of an explosion at the bling factory..
Same here ....I just don't get that my wife insists on washing the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.
I'll tell you something I don't get. Why is it that so many Hollywood types and sports "stars" are always getting into trouble with the law or doing something stupid. Someone is always acting up. This latest episode with Alec (or is it Alex) Baldwin, really gets to me. Someone needs to kick their a**! They think the rules don't apply to them. I'd have loved to been a really big guy on that flight and put him in his place. Like, "look punk, do as the lady says and turn off your damn gadget or I'll stick it up your a**". Somebody needs to put these people in their place.
I hope that you would then build a servants' quarter for them. Else, they would have to sleep on your couch, or in sleeping bags on the family room's floor. I can picture that in my mind.Even if I had ...servants I wouldn't want a 4,000+ square-foot house
+1. On days when the Dow dropped 4 or 5 hundred points too!I'm puzzled why they clap at the closing bell of the stock exchange when the closing numbers are down. Are they just happy the day is over?
They are looking at it in a positive manner - cheaper equities to buy when the market again opens (I tend to look for the good in things, regardless of how bad things actually are...)I'm puzzled why they clap at the closing bell of the stock exchange when the closing numbers are down. Are they just happy the day is over?
I enjoy people watching under the right circumstances (like NOT in Walmart!). It's a great part of traveling and exploring new places. And here in the Valley it's a very enjoyable part of going out to eat at the nicer local establishments.I don't get people watching. Those people might be watching the people who are watching them watch them watch them!
