This is extremely timely - this morning I watched John Green's TEDTalk about learning communities and he said YouTube was his favorite. He even used MinutePhysics as an example, which is on the list you posted. I decided to start watching daily videos to broaden my horizon. Now I know where to start! Thanks!

Two men fly jetpacks alongside an Emirates A380 above the Dubai skyline -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VPvKl6ezyc

Hmmm... I'm skeptical. An A380 produces some serious wake turbulence and I kind of doubt the guys in jetpacks would be able to fly that close to the wing tips. But the turbulence is mostly behind, so maybe....

I just flew a single engine Piper so I don't really know. Perhaps someone who has flown heavy metal will.

Special effects or no, it's still a neat video!

Looks like they stayed away from any turbulence by remaining above the wing or beyond the wingtips.

Notice the A380 had the flaps down to slow the aircraft enough that the [-]totally insane[/-] jetpack guys could match airspeeds.

Totally insane is right. I can just picture trying to do that and being inhaled by one of those engines.

Yves Rossy (one of the pilots) is real. Here is a Ted talk and another video where he flies along with a B-17 (leads into another video after that) -

Amanda Hallay, who is British, is a history professor in NYC. She has a fascinating series of videos on fashion history.

Excellent drone footage of Scotland. Vimeo is a fee based, ad free HD network which attracts professionally produced video, in contrast to YouTube, which is skewed towards the amateur.

I may be one of the last people in the world to find out about these animals...

I tried to post this on one of the bacon threads, but they were too old!

I love the Numberphile channel. Here's a recent video:

Amazing 3D artist:

Wow! Amazing. Funny thing is, I clicked on the full youtube link, then got distracted for a bit, and I first looked back at about 18 seconds in. It was very disorienting. I'm looking, no wait, he's drawing that glass! Sure looked like he was drawing around an actual glass on his paper to me.

I've seen some of the sidewalk chalk art versions of this. Not sure what they do to guide their perspective, but the results are amazing.

Thanks for posting!

Speaking of 3D street art, this links to at least 6 other "episodes" of examples of the art form. I have no idea how these people can be so creative but the results are amazing to me.
