How come you excluded American Loggers? I think it is the best of all 3 shows.
I voted other cuz AL would be my favorite. All 3 are entertaining and all 3 have things about them that I like. I have watched every single episode of all 3 shows since every show debuted. I've been really interested in logging and fascinated by heavy equipment especially off road machines since my teen years. W2R is correct, these are guy shows mostly.
Swamp Loggers is really amazing in so far as the terrain they go through and those "clam bunks", never heard of those maybe they're a southern machine? Those huge flotation tires really allow them to go through some really wet terrain. Bobby Goodson looks like a really decent guy to work for.
I've learned a lot about logging in the northwest and Alaska watching Axe Men. I like the multiple stories, yeah it is a bit more show biz than the other 2. Those 2 sets of nuts in the south are something. Jimmy Smith from S&S Aqua Logging from Washington or Oregon is a psycho, not sure why his son James stays in business with him. He's a real SOB, I'd have smashed his head in with a logging chain a long time ago.
And speaking of SOB's there's Craig at Ryggard, man he makes Satan look laid back! The other southern outfit, the one man crew Shelby Stanga, he's crazy. The things he does are not the actions of a sane person! I wonder if it's for the cameras but something tells me that guy was acting this way before they started to film him.
American Loggers is my favorite because it's in my part of the country and I can relate to the weather and conditions they work in. I especially like the fact they have good footage of their equipment especially the road grader they use for plowing snow and grading roads. I'd love to drive that baby! The Pelletier's seem like reasonable guys to work for but many of the people they hire are pretty useless. Guess the picking are poor in the back woods.

Add to that he does not feed the dog dog food, the dog eats what it catches! I have seen every show of Ax Men and I was shocked when these were revealed. I do think he's a character and he appears to be good natured unlike Craig Ryggard or Jimmy Smith. Those 2 are a$$holes squared!
