Jon Steward rips CNBC and Santelli

Not the same - HS does bathroom and sex jokes - just different types of jokes.

HS's TV show sometimes featured Howard placing physically or mentally challenged folks in embarrassing/humiliating situations to mock and belittle them. Apparently this was very popular with his viewers and does say a lot about them and him.

I don't necessarily find fault in Santelli's positions.
What I hate is his method of getting his style across, he simply out-shouts anyone that disagrees with him, rather than having a discussion.
The day I liked him the most was the day he had lost his voice (almost).
He had to talk quietly, and wonder of wonders, everyone else followed suit.
They actually discussed different positions, it was almost good TV:)

His speech pattern may be more a function of where he grew up - North east inner city(?) very competitive, you have to shout over all your friends to be heard and trading in the pits.

Those who did not grow up in the N.E. inner city might find this hard to understand.

You might not hear it in his microphone but it is noisy around him.
