Just got Kiplinger's latest issue which includes a pretty good "Special Edition" primer on Medicare. This link is to Navigating Medicare. Same issue also has articles on managing parent's care at a distance "How to Manage from Afar" and "Choose the Right Setting" which address choosing parents' living arrangements for their elder years.
Kiplinger - Interstitial
While the articles are not "earthshaking", they do provide IMHO a good overview of the many dimensions of life skills necessary to manage the Medicare and beyond years. Included are also inset boxes covering Appealing a claim denial, and getting LTC providers to pay up. The latter being very basic for those who have read Nord's journey.
None of the Kiplinger articles appear to be behind a paywall, so hopefully others will find something of value.
