Wow rocketdog! That can surely be stressful for everyone and your poor FIL - also wonder what your MIL is feeling - scared/paranoid?

I think you've gotten excellent advice here, please encourage your DH and FIL to do something asap - perhaps FIL is too "in it" to "see it" or feel like he can figure a way out of it...

Parent issues are always complicated and when their health is declining can be 10 x's more so!

If i think of something clever to say, i'll put it here...

When my family was dealing with my dad's dementia (which turned out to a fatal brain tumor) we found this book the 36-hour day very helpful

If you haven't found an online Alzheimer's forum, I'd highly suggest you check out a few. While many in this forum have dealt with issue, there is some real expertise on those forums. Its been many years since I've had to deal with this nightmare so I can't make a specific recommendation.
