Whenever anything is questionable, you can enter some simplistic inputs to test. For pension, I'd enter $100 portfolio, zero spend, A portfolio with consistent annual market growth of 0
%, fixed income returns of 0
%, and an inflation rate of 0
Then enter a $10,000 portfolio, no inflation adjustment - you will see a graph that goes up $10,000 per year. If it were monthly, it would go up $120,000/year.
