Been lurking here for awhile and soaking up all this wonderful information. I was wondering what is the best way to represent cash and/or cds under firecalc's portfolio tab?
Also, if I have an AA of 50/50 stocks/cash and I use the total market calculation under the portfolio tab placing 50% in stock and 50% in 30 year treasuries, I get the exact same spending level as using the mixed portfolio and placing 50% in S&P500 and 50% in 1 month treasuries. Does that seem right? Placing 50% in S&P500 and 50% in US LT treasuries yields a less favorable spending level by about 10%. Am I not understanding something?
