Alternative Risk Calculator for CVD

Here's and interesting alternative risk calculator for one's chances of developing cardio vascular disease. What I find most interesting is that for me the best intervention is the Mediterranean Diet.

It is interesting. Nothing we can do to reduce the huge age factor. They ought to have a slider for BMI in there.

I found the sliders hard to set to a specific #, until I realized that once you click them, the keyboard arrow keys move them a digit at a time.

As I've seen in other reports, my Total Chol number is a negative factor, but my 'good' chol is more than a few points above the top of their scale, and even that entry more than offset the negative from my higher than baseline Total #.
