I know it's HSA qualified, but not sure if it counts towards ones annual deductible.

My doctor said it would be a good idea to have one at home, but no, it wasn't prescribed.

Then I'd say no. You could try filing it with your insurance and see if they accept it and apply it to your deductible, but I really doubt it. If your doctor suggested you might take an over the counter vitamin, that wouldn't go toward your deductible, right? This is the same thing.

Not sure ? I'll look through my Insurance manual & try to find out.
This was more curiosity than anything else. Barring some unexpected medical problems, I won't come anywhere near meeting the annual deductible anyway.
