I recently read the following article on surviving cancer and now it appears if I get cancer and survive, I will be blamed for surviving! I guess I just can't win!

No matter what you do, you can't win! In my opinion this is because some people just love casting blame.

Another example:

If we do not retire, we are "selfish" because a younger person could have had that job and wouldn't have to live in his parents' basement any more.

But if we do retire and start on SS, we are "lazy" and "entitled". In today's world, it seems that no matter what we do, someone will cast blame.
