Went to the ortho doctor with hip pain. X-rays showed plenty of cartilage but there is a bone spur growing on the outer part of the socket. Doc says that's what is causing my pain, when that spur encounters the cartilage.

He told me I was too old (60) for borescope aided spur removal. Says that's for 24-50 year olds. Suggested instead, stretching and low impact exercise, and that I not come back until something changes.

Has anyone else had a similar condition? Did the stretching and exercise help?

Thank You!!
