I'm going to get back on the weigh in next Wed. I started it several months ago. Then the market crashed and I went into a eating and thumb sucking mode. Plus a few meds. I'm 6' even and would love to get to your weight. I'm around 187 now, so not too tough a goal. Just hard during the winter when your stuck in doors and snacking is a way to past the time. Just got to get back to healthy snacks and have a bag of carrots handy.:(


Welcome back to the weigh-ins. It's strange since this posting thing is purely voluntary but I find the simple fact that I am GOING to post my weight every week encourages me to be good. It's been a few months now since I posted a weight within my range but I'm determined to so again, one of these days.

Since the start of the year I've been working 10 hr days so haven't been exercising during the week and I really miss it. Today, playing tennis I somehow pulled my calf muscle ..... :mad::mad:
 
After wiping out on the ice in December I resumed stress eating and stopped exercising.

Gave blood today.

Shall resume exercising tomorrow.

I will be posting here on Wednesdays going forward. Last week Tuesday, I was at 244.5 pounds at my annual physical.

I will post results tomorrow. As some may remember, I was on here and doing well until I broke my ankle. The day I broke it, I was at 228. I got as high as 252 in December. I tried working out and it was very difficult with a broken right ankle........:)

True. I was getting pretty good at exercising (high repetitions with small weights, gradually increasing weights); took a dive off the icy patio and landed on my wrist; haven't exercised in 2 months.

Will start over on Thursday.

The fat percentage this week is a little bit of a high outlier; most of the week it was lower than that. Weight is up after a big dinner last night. I'm feeling pretty decent physically, actually more so than in prior weeks when I registered a lower fat percentage.
 
OK, back on track with the program. Not going crazy with a crash diet. Would like to be down to 180 by April 1 and 175 by July 1st. Got my annual doc appointment then so that is the goal. He will be so proud.:blush:

Losing a pound and a half in a week is darn good. During previous weeks I was wondering what you were doing to drop 5 lbs in a week. Atkins?

Well, everybody loses a lot when they first start a new routine, plus I'm 34 so I'm still on the younger side. I started a regimin the first week of January of 1500 calories a day and 4 hours of excercise a week which consists mostly of running as I'm training for a 5k right now. Running at a 9 minute mile pace burns a lot of calories!

So now that the initial drop off occurred, I'll be clocking similar numbers for a while.
 
125#. Must be all that walking at work, 'cause I haven't been dancing my normal amount! I need to get that pedometer calibrated.

Didn't weigh in this morning...I was up all night with a high fever (103.7 F). To the doc today - acute bronchitis and to stay out of work the rest of the week. Ughh. I hate being sick!:(

Four Pounds to Goal

Weight at Dr's office, clothes on, shoes off: 137. Goal: 133.

though I've only lost 4 pounds, I have lost 1/2 inch off my hips and almost 3/4 inch off my waistline! All my clothes fit better

I discovered, though, that I cannot possibly stick to 1500 calories a day. I need at least 1200-1300 calories just to make it through commute, workday, and workout. Then, I still need to eat dinner. I've been trying to keep my dinner at around 500 calories, but am sure it goes above that sometimes.

I haven't eaten any sweets at all for four weeks. Sure do miss 'em.:angel::(

Me trying to impress the doc is my best incentive, although it's more to try to get off the various meds. The Rx type, not yours!

Wow, you gained 17 pounds in a month, and then lost 13 pounds in about a month...........wild!! :)

Yeah, that was interesting. I (sucessfully) worked my butt off getting my weight and blood sugar/pressure down for a November doctor's appointment. After the appointment I went sort of nuts through the holidays. I suspect the huge swing was mostly water weight from all the holiday goodies, but there was a definite weight gain too. Bad move. Hopefully I'll learn a lesson from this, but learning from my mistakes isn't my strong suit. :angel:

I think you need a doctor like my FP. I asked her what I could do to lower my cholesterol, and she said:

Lose FIFTY pounds............:rolleyes:
