I'm joining the weigh-in group here as I need a little accountability without feeling like a cow being weighed for slaughter at a WW meeting. :greetings10:

All of you are so close to your goal weights, congratulations! I feel like the 400 pound chick with a bunch of 200 pounders on the biggest loser...

Welcome! And, I am probably a year or so from my goal weight (pounds and pounds and pounds!) so you're in good company! ;)

Welcome aboard. :flowers:
I only got onto this thread in late 2008 and have done a fair mount of oscillating in weight since then.
I just trimmed down my stats record the other day and realized I actually am 5.5 lbs lighter than my peak weight (181). Little by little by little...posting here weekly has definitely helped me stay focused on my long term goal.
Admitting I screwed up here and there and gained a few lbs is a HUGE reminder for me to put the fork down. ;)
Seeing the 2 little red dancing dudes :dance:on my lowest weight of 173.5 is my constant target. It felt so good to move them to a new text line as I lost weight.
So many folks here are so diligent about exercising...if I could only find an
"I like to exercise at the gym" magic pill, I'd be all set.

Had my WW weigh-in today -- down another 1.6 lbs. So I made my 5% goal, and have lost a total of 13 lbs in the past 7 weeks. Hooray!

And a pre-emptive "you can do it! Great job" to all of you posting tomorrow....

Same weight from last week, I think. Scales acting kind of funky. Not consistent when weighing this morning. Got another set somewhere in a box when I moved here a few years ago. Maybe I can find by next week. I doubt if I lost any this week as I ate a couple of deserts.:-\

Finally lost a pound, despite having a few drinks this past weekend. Well, next week I'm sure will be an up week. Leaving for a long weekend in Florida tomorrow morning, with lots of eating out and drinking with friends. Looking forward to it!

Congrats to those who have lost this week and for those who haven't, hang in there!

1/21 - 177
1/27 - 172.8 (-4.2)
2/3 - 172.2 (-.6)

I thought I was losing too fast as I was at 171 on 1/29, so have eaten ad lib without tracking for the last three days. Back on the plan - enough of this calorie cycling.

Thanks for all the encouragement, it's going to take a good year or more to get to where I want to be. Regular weighing is one of the keys to maintenance (for me). When I start avoiding the scale, it means I'm probably gaining and then it gets out of control so easily.

Oh, I should mention that I have a closet clearing competition going with a friend - I'm a size 12 now but had all the way down to size 6's clogging up my closet. I've pulled out everything that I can't wear right now - needless to say, the closet's pretty bare right now. But I hope that the prospect of being able to open up and wear a box of clothes that I haven't seen in awhile will be an added motivator.

Only problem is - what do I do with all these (really nice) work clothes since I'm not working in an office anymore?!? Some of them still have their tags on! It also shows the money to be saved by staying at a stable size... which I haven't been since I quit smoking in 1997.

I was disappointed when DW found the scales late afternoon yesterday as I was sure I'd have put on weight this week, so I was pleasantly surprised to find I was the same weight as the day before the move, a week ago :)

Urchina and Freedbird - you guys are doing exceptionally well - great progress

Good work from the rest of you also.

I've been to the Y for 3 days in a row now, taking hour long fitness classes. (Warm up for 30 minutes walking on a treadmill) Finally my back is feeling much better today so all the stretching is working. At the end of the session today, lying on my back with my knees drawn in I rolled them to the side while looking and stretching the upper body to the opposite side and got 4 or 5 "clunks" as it released.

Bliss :D:D

TY :flowers: for noticing.
I do miss my ice cream though. :( I have a small amount once in a great while instead of several times per week.
Lemon or strawberry yogurt topped with light whipped cream over a sliced banana is a darn good substitute. :D

Same here on the ice cream. I used to substitute for it with low fat frozen yogurt mixed with a little skim milk (or not), and frozen fruit in a blender then whip it into a thick smoothie.

Ok, I'm getting back in. I cant lose weight without the motivation that this thread provides. The Super Bowl could set me back, but oh well.

Goal 185 by whenever

JacqJolie, congrats on the weight loss!

When I stopped working to stay at home with the kids, I took most of my nice work clothes down to the domestic violence shelter's transitional housing. They were so thankful to get it, as they give it to the women living there as part of the job-hunting / finding process. I felt good knowing that people who really needed it would get it and use it.

You might also check in your town and see if there's a group that provides professional and interview clothing for low-income job seekers / people transitioning off welfare and to work. These folks need to look professional, but aren't earning professional salaries yet.

It's been a while since I posted in this one. Down around 170-172 right now. My worst point last year was 192.

Hi everyone! :greetings10:

After having baby #2 almost three months ago, I am ready to jump back in. Luckily, I only gained 35 lbs. with Hayley and have about 10 lbs to go to fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans :D.

However, I'd like to lose even more than that if I can!

It's great to see that this thread is still alive!

Calgary_Girl, congrats on the new baby! So exciting (and exhausting, I know!).

Had my WW weigh-in today -- down two more pounds! This makes.... drumrolll.... 15 lbs since December 15th of last year, and 23 lbs since October of 2009. Next week I hope to drop down into the 220s.....Hooray!

Looking forward to everyone's successes!

Up a pound, but this is to be expected after a long weekend of eating and drinking with no regard to diet. Had a blast in Florida, despite cooler weather than expected.

Amazed that I'm staying stable as I found out via blood tests that I'm super anemic, which fortunately reduces appetite - but also don't have the energy to be as active as I used to be. Am going on holiday this next week so expect to gain a little bit but am too apathetic to care.

Urchina, you're doing awesome!

Up a little. Probably that large pizza for my daughter's BD the other night. I've also been hitting the dark chocolate chips a little heavy lately too.:(
