Kaiser vs. Blue Cross

Kaiser has a maximum BMI number they will accept. If you are joining within a group plan that might not be an issue. Or maybe you are within acceptable range.

Ended up going with Blue Cross. Kaiser would have been nearly $900 more per year. We're in a retiree group plan, but pay full price. We looked at co-pays, costs for meds, etc. and it's just not worth it for us.

In researching this, I was impressed with many things with Kaiser. We have two huge Kaiser facilities within 10 miles so it would be easy to receive service from them. I like the "one stop shop" convenience of how they run the medical business.
