Long Term Health Insurance - how secure is it?

I've had the same longterm health care insurance in place for about 15 years - just in case. The premium is automatically deducted from my account each month.

Now I'm wondering if it will be affected by the economy.

Does anyone know how we can check out the soundness of our longterm insurer?
