Has anyone else not been provided with a 1095-A from the Healthcare.gov? I moved mid-year and received my 1095-A from the state exchange I used before but I've not seen a 1095-A either on my online account or in the mail from the Federal exchange I now use. I have called and been told it would be generated but no luck so far. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I received my 1095-A from California a few weeks ago. Now I'm trying to puzzle out how to enter a 24 digit policy number into H&R Blocks 21 digit field. CoveredCA told me to put in the last 21 digits, and I'm wondering what others here had done?

In the meantime, I'm off to see how responsive Block will be ... :)

Block seemed unimpressed with my problem and suggested the same workaround.

When I'd completed the form, I was taken to a summary showing my household income ... which didn't match my 1040's numbers. A little poking around showed that my tax-free income was added back as income. This little 'gotcha' appears to make sense, but it does mean I'll be paying back some of my prepaid premium subsidy! :(

This was mentioned earlier. ACA, made mistake. Sent out 1095A's that were incorrect. Said wait, for corrected 1095"s before sending in Tax Returns.

Just read article in Paper, Said, IRS is going to "pardon" any incorrect tax
return already submitted. So no need to refile correct tax return.

This is the simple answer. Question is. What exactly was incorrect.
Did I overpay, or under pay.

IN my case, covered Ca. my 1095A was incorrect, but I'm not sure if the corrected version, which I'm still waiting for, corrects something else, not
the error I found. ACA is out of control. ha :greetings10:

I haven't received notification of errors, and my 1095A looks fine to me -- I must be one of the majority that received an error-free form!

No, I blame myself for converting too much, and not taking into account the tax-free interest income. Mind you, it'd be nice to have a scapegoat! ;)

Has anyone else using the Federal Exchange not received a 1095-A?

I'm wondering if maybe mine was missed because I was only part year (we moved mid-year).

I didn't move, but I keep getting plenty of them. Never "corrected" they feel like I need more of the same form with the same numbers on it.

Feel badly for those who are in limbo over this situation.

Great, you probably got mine. :ermm:

Some of the 1095A forms with an amount in Part III, Column B contained the 2015 Second Lowest Cost Silver Premium (SLCSP) instead of the 2014 SLCSP. A person may benefit from amending if the 2014 SLCSP is more as a higher SLCSP could lead to a higher subsidy.

If you have an on line account with healthcare.gov, you can get a copy there. What did they say when you called them?

It's not on the website.

First they said to go to the website. When I told them it wasn't there (and checked again to make certain while on the phone) they said they would 'escalate' it and I should see it in 5-7 days. It's now been that long and still no 1095-A in the mail or on the website.

I suppose it's time to call again. I'd sure like to be able to file my taxes.

I'm in GA and also have not received a 1095-A. I, too, was "escalated" and sent to a Tier 2 representative, all of whom were very courteous, but in the end could not help me. I was talking with my health insurer, Humana, yesterday and they suggested I call the Marketplace and speak with a Supervisor. I did that today and the supervisor was able to give me all the information I needed to complete 1095-A. Perhaps a supervisor could help you, as well.

Thank you for that information. I was "escalated" (supposedly) but never spoke with anyone else. It sounded as if the rep. would handle it in writing but there have been no results.

I was getting ready to call back so will definitely ask for a supervisor as you suggest.

Thanks again!

I did call back and ask for a supervisor who said that all the necessary information had not been input by the rep. who initially escalated my request. It sounded as if the request would have likely remained in limbo indefinitely.

The supervisor added the needed info., confirmed that no 1095-A had been produced (apparently this is not an uncommon situation) and informed me that I would receive a call from a specialist within 3 weeks. I expressed my concern that this will run be up very close to tax filing deadline but there seemed to be little concern on her part.

I'm now waiting to hear back but my expectations are low. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I don't know what to tell you...call Mr. B and see what he says or call Al Gore! After all he invented the internet.

I do my 28 yr old son's taxes (he's self employed, Schedule C) and he told me he got a message from HC.gov. The message was a corrected 1095A. They corrected his Part 3 column A - SLCSP amount by $16 for the year. No big deal.

Sorry you were unable to get the information from the supervisor. The supervisor I spoke with (Ashley Lewis) was very kind and helpful. I was instructed to go to IRS.gov and print out a 1095-A form (which I already had) and she gave me all the information over the phone. All I really needed was #2 on the 1095-A form (Marketplace assigned policy number), but she went through each section with me. They did have my 2 prior "escalations" documented. I told the person I spoke with initially I had made numerous phone calls, had been "escalated" twice and no one had contacted me, and my insurer suggested I call and ask to speak with a supervisor. Personally, I would just keep calling them until I get what I need. I'm sure you'll get this resolved, but it sure is a chore! Hopefully next year you and I will both get our 1095-A's. If you have everything you need except the Marketplace assigned policy number, I was able to get that from someone in "Advanced Resolutions."

So far I have nothing Grace. I think should push come to shove I may be able figure out the numbers I need but I'd feel much more comfortable having them provided from the appropriate source and knowing that a 1095-A has been provided to the IRS to verify my (tax filing) information.

I find it both interesting and frustrating that the Federal Government seems unable to provide a required federal tax document in a timely manner.

I finally got my corrected 1095-A online last night. The less encouraging part is, they also gave me notice that my subsidies are ending because they did not receive my income documentation though I had uploaded it to the site and sent certified mail. I'm inclined to just get the rest of the credit when I file next year, assuming I could do that.

Believe me I know how frustrating this is. It appears from my conversations with the Marketplace that you need to allow 30 days from the time of the "escalation." Apparently if the issue is not resolved in that time frame, a supervisor will step in and give you the information you need. Hopefully your frustration will end soon. Please keep me posted. I'll say a prayer for a speedy resolution for you!

The lack of a 1095-A was my first problem. I am also now dealing with cancellation of my policy due to 'insufficient documentation' as well. The rep. I called was able to submit a new application which gives me some time to re-submit documentation. The really frustrating part is that no one is able to tell me what was wrong with the documentation I provided which was pretty simple and straightforward. I think the problem may be that my situation is not common (early retired with no earned income) so the documentation doesn't make immediate sense to them. I uploaded new documentation this morning with a very detailed cover letter and am now waiting to see what happens with my 2015 coverage as well as my 2014 1095-A so I can file taxes.

FYI, my Corrected 1095-A just arrived in the snail mail yesterday (March 20).

Well, after many calls and being told many times that someone would call me back within two, three and then four weeks (but still no 1095-A or call and it's now over that by far) I was finally transferred to someone who confirmed the numbers I needed to fill out my taxes. In questioning the representative about whether my problem was a fluke she said no, that "thousands and thousands and thousands of people" are in my situation having not received the proper tax documents. She went on to explain that it is the first year and that hopefully the problems will be resolved next year. I expressed my concern about filing my taxes without having the 1095-A produced and she assured me that the Healthcare.gov and IRS systems are linked so the IRS has access to all my insurance information.

I didn't say this to her, but I have my doubts. I am, however, relieved to have the numbers confirmed and have a name to attach to that confirmation. I am still uneasy about filing my taxes without knowing that the proper tax documentation has been produced for the IRS to match up to my numbers.

Hopefully I will see a 1095-A on the Healthcare.gov website or in the mail prior to April 15th but I'm not holding my breath.

Update. Went to Cover CA website, (ACA), 1095A on line was the original
uncorrected version. Not updated!

April 8th. Still have not received corrected version. So did best I could, and mailed in 1040's, Today. Have taxes due, and have to pay estimated taxes so could not wait any longer for ACA..What a joke!
