I am going to be attending a conference in Vegas from 4/24-4/29 for work. Staying at Mandalay Bay.

I have only been there twice and not for about 10 years. Looking for suggestions on "must do's"?

I like to walk around and check out the various casinos and shopping venues. I also enjoy the shows and the great dining options. Go for crepes at the Paris casino and have one for me!

If your into classic cars the car museum at the Imperial Palace is nice. You can get free entry into it when you sign up for the players club in the casino. If you don't get the free pass make sure to ask for it, they'll give it to you.

Another free cheesy Vegas thing is Big Elvis at Bill's Gambling Hall. If you like Elvis it's entertaining and it's free. Big Elvis Peter Vallee

A nice change of pace from the glitz, glamor, and gambling of Las Vegas. Is the Atomic Testing museum located just off the strip. Brought back fond memories of all of the old duck and cover videos and such. Not hard to find discount coupons for it.

OOooo yeah! We went through there on our way south from Mesquite NV to AZ. Wild red rock formations and pretty empty (or was a month ago). $6 or $10 for a car pass...

We always stop by the MGM Grand to see the lions on exhibit. During certain times during the day the trainers are in with the lions playing with them. On our last visit there were two young lion cubs on display.

Dinner at the rotating Top of The World restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere tower is worth the price just for the spectacular view of the lights of the city and the food is quite good (but pricey).

The light show over Fremont Street is free and worth seeing as is the fountain show at Bellagio.

Vegas

I like Vegas....go there at least once a yr for many yrs. Just went last month and was a bit surprised....sidewalks and streets very dirty....trash everywhere.......public escalators not working....looked surprisingly dysfunctional. Hopefully this was just a bad weekend and not a trend.
Good luck,
Chris
