Earlier this year I got input from the group on a drive to CO. Thread here:

Change in plans. We’re going to fly instead. We’ll be there four days and three nights.

First night is downtown Denver. There’s a hotel in the train station, The Crawford, where we’ll be staying to take in some night life and city life. We get in early so site seeing for the day, check in for afternoon shower and refresh, then out to dinner in the evening.

Second and third night is near Red Rocks. The day will be the most outdoor, mountain, trail viewing, of the trip. We’ll wear ourselves out that day. Not sure about dinner, but probably at the hotel. Second day we’ll see something outdoors but will need to keep a little in the tank for the evening concert.

Next day is casual get up and be to the airport by 1:00.

Any specific things to do downtown or for a mountain viewing experience is appreciated. We have a couple weeks for planning. Given that we’re flying and a little nervous about the altitude, we’ll be looking for things to do but that will give us a chance to bail if needed. For example, we might take a mile or so walk, but not a 5 mile hike.

I’ll be testing my new headphones as well :)
