In re: low level of abstraction.
It is a splendid line. Loved it when I saw it, and used many many times since. Simplifies life and arguments. I will always give you credit for that one.

I was born one morning when the sun didn't shine, picked up my shovel and walked to mine, loaded 16 tons of number nine coal.....

Yep. What is baffling to me ...is that some think it is so easy to get to that income level...or a certain net worth level...when it often is not. Add to that...that keeping it...is hard work ...just like getting it. Sacrifices and hard work and LBYM are often made and performed along the way. Don't want to underscore..that it very well may be easier for some than others. However...the tone...of blasting the successful or lucky people is downright irritating.

Ha Ha: I havenīt forgotten you- The thing is that no real known Spanish crime writer comes to mind. Thatīs one of the reasons why itīs decades since Iīve read a novel in Spanish.

    Take care.

I have soooo enjoyed the discussions . It's like the old records when they would have a scratch and repeat the same lines forever .

Thanks for your comment Ha - I have been thinking about the "quadrant" idea for a long time. Everybody gets to decide which quadrant is most important to them, but focusing on any one to the exclusion of the other 3 is like squeezing a balloon too hard at one end and hoping nothing pops. Cheers - Amethyst
