- Born in London, England, during WWII.....left England at the very earliest opportunity, (found someone to 'sponsor' me to Australia), age 17, (one of the happiest days of my life)........'bummed around' (been to ~ 60 countries), overland, (pretty much), from Europe to Australia on one trip....by car/thumb/local bus/train, etc.
Came to Canada in 1965...back to Oz a year or so later...stayed 3 weeks, decided I preferred Canada.....back to Canada.....spent 7+ years in The Magic Kingdom of Saudi Arabia......stopped working at age 46.
Been divorced once, widowed once.....now in the best relationship/marriage ever, (and I once thought the lady who died was 'it')......been very lucky.
