    It's funny joke Thursday! - 2021

Do you really believe there's a direct connection between boors and humor? In my, albeit limited, experience the sort 'harassers' of which you speak are generally the brunt of jokes themselves because they're too stupid understand the difference between fun and intimidation. What's that old...

    It's funny joke Thursday! - 2021

I was born in England, went to Australia as a teen, and came to Canada 56 years ago next week.....I've told jokes about (among others) Brits, Ockers, and Canucks, (and Yarpies, 'cause I've also known South Africans).....my oldest friend, of close to 54 years now, was born in an internment camp...

Enough - How much is that?

Ditto....we don't have too many 'needs', and we have fewer 'wants'; our Canadian 'equivalent' of Social Security, and our dividend income from investments, generates more than we spend, even when we (used to) travel (mainly to Europe) twice a year. The 'nut' increases, but we feel no urge to...

Walked around that park, having driven down from Riviera/Rivera* (*depending on who you talk to), when we were staying there one season.....noticed a lot of rust on the long term stays...decided against a winter there.

Colonoscopy prep / Miralax or Suprep

Geez, I've had a whole bunch of them, (do they come in bunches?), over the past 32 years and couldn't tell you what the muck was that I took. Don't sweat it, it's a colonoscopy, not open heart surgery. ;)

Not persactly a 'peeve' because I really don't give a ......but when someone makes a 15,000 word post, and someone else hits 'quote', copies the entire screed, and says 'Yes' (or somesuch) at the bottom, it just seems like overkill to me..

    Different paths for living life

OTOH, there's the defunct Eaton's department store that was once Canada's largest. Started in 1869 by Timothy Eaton it was passed down through the family. Just prior to its collapse I read a comment, purportedly attributed to one of the senior employees, pertaining to the three brothers who...
