Best Buy in a flat screen TV?

Amazon and epinions reviews seem good.

One question: what are you going to feed it with? A lot of these sets look decent with a 720p widescreen feed but arent quite as attractive with an analog style signal from non-high def sources. One of the areas consumer reports tags is the quality of output when fed from 'inferior' sources.

Bear in mind

if you want the same vertical dimension in a wide-screen that you have in a standard set, you need a size 1.22 times the standard size. This is the minimum I consider to be an equivalent size. Most regrets people have are not buying a larger one. Vizeo has a great 50in plasma for $1400 at Costco. Their 42in lcd goes for $950 at Walmart. I don't consider HD-Ready HDTVs since they don't have an ATSC tuner for broadcast. Two tuners would be nicer for PIP.
