Mine is a '72 Nova SS cloned. Has it's stock 2 bolt 350 but with a fairly rumbly cam, heads, intake, 625 CFM 4bbl, MSD ignition, shift kit, 3:42 gears, 16" tires, rims, subframe connectors etc. I haven't had it on the dyno yet but I'd expect (hope for) somewhere in the 350-375 hp range. I've got the tranny out right now and am installing a new 2400 stall converter for some good bottom end punch. It's a Nova after all, it has to be quick.
This car was my grandmas when new. Bill of sale still in the glovebox $3050.00. Thank god she got the 2 door with a black interior. The car was always garaged except for a couple of years after grandma passed away that my uncle had it. It was showing 66000 miles 6 years ago when I bought the car and began this project. It had some rust, but overall quite nice. Since then, I put fiberglass front fenders on it, a paint job, the bench seat and column shift are gone and replaced by correct buckets and a floor shift, and a set of needle guages supplement the stock "idiot lights". I'll be putting in a tilt steering column next since I really hate that "driving the school bus" feeling.
The car has definitely not helped me to close in on my FI/RE date, since I can't think of a poorer investment than modifying cars, oh, and it's getting somewhere around 0 mpg, but I've been a car guy since high school, and finally have the funds to do some of those things that I always wanted to back then. Luckily I'm enjoying it just as much now as then.
