HEY! What is so funny with this?

I slept on this arrangement in Fort McMurray for a long time. I taped a bunch of [empty] cardboard wine boxes together and put my air mattress on top. It worked great and was cheap. Not to mention recycling/reusing/re-purposing. (I B green, baby!)

Reminds me of my dad. Growing up we lived in a small cape cod house that had the washing machine on the first floor in a part of the house that was over the crawl space.

When the washing machine started leaking his response (aided by a couple quarts of Schlitz) was to drill a hole in the floor for the water to leak through.
