Long term storage of cotton (Linen) Drapes

We are taking down drapes in a house being converted to a rental, and want to preserve them for when the house is sold in a few years. What is the best way to store the drapes to prevent decay or odor. Dry clean and then bag ? any tips on preservative products ? Dryer Sheets ? - No pun intended.

I don't know about cleaning, it depends on the exact fabric, but be sure they are clean. Then store with acid free tissue paper in an acid free cardboard box. For sure not to use plastic bags or ordinary paper/cardboard.

You could use "cloud" storage. Sell them on Craigslist and then buy them back from Craigslist in a few years.
