Hi Everyone,

I have lurked for years here and admired the humor and intensity of discussion about retirement issues, and mostly about life, really. I am 61, the opportunity for re is in my wake, but you clearly are a batch of smart and analytical people, and I plan to benefit from that!! :D

I hope I can add to the pile of resources here in the course of discussion.

Hi bld999, and welcome to the Early Retirement Forum!

In my opinion 61 is still early enough to retire early. Many of our members have retired at that age (like me), or even older.

Thanks for introducing yourself. :)

Welcome aboard. I don't know if there is a cutoff for ER, but I'd consider anything under 65 yo ER if not SocSec FRA which can be as much as 67. Congrats on FI, that's the most satisfying achievement IMO...
