It has had a nice run-up but still has room to grow. I made a LOT of money on CSCO over the years but it's no longer going to grow at its previous rate... which is why FFIV is now my pick. To me, FFIV will be the new CSCO. Worth checking out.
Any newly-registered poster who touts a stock in their first post without so much as a 'hello' in the "hi, I am..." forum, is bound to be suspect. And when you add a "how dare you" comeback in post #2, it only helps confirm the initial suspicion.Hardly a spam post, don't you agree? Or are the spam posts to which you refer written in as personal a manner such as this?
I thought when I read "I just bought GUT" or "my personal stock picks for 2011" that it'd be okay to write what stocks I think would be good investments... my bad.
The FFIV post isn't spam. It's very odd that kerplunk (or whatever the last poster's handle is) wouldn't touch FFIV. VERY odd. Cloud computing is here to stay. When a company competes with the likes of CSCO and successfully begins to erode CSCO's market share, it's a company worth considering w/ regard to investing. Or are the millions who invested in FFIV wrong? The appreciation of that stock tells the story.

Forward P/E estimated a bit lower at 38 because of its high growth. But of course I personally experienced what happened to companies that would grow and grow to the sky, like in 2000.I will give you the benefit of the doubt that this is not spam....
But, the company (in my few minutes of looking at it) does not seem to have anything that is unique that someone else can not duplicate easily... now, I could be wrong as I did not spend much time...
So, if this is true... a 70X earnings is a bit pricey... by maybe 3 to 5X what it should be...
Ah, yes, the rules of engagement. I failed to read, "Properly introducing yourself with the standard 'Hello, I am ...' or something similar, is required of all new posters." Thanks for the warm welcome!
I give. Hello, I'm a brand-spanking new poster! I have an active interest in (trying to) retire early through investing in real estate and individual stocks. I am not 'one who spams' nor am I associated with any organization that engages in any process related to spamming. I'm a dim-witted Texan trying to improve upon my current & future financial situation.
Fair enough?

Ah, the Jonathan Lebed approach to investing...It has had a nice run-up but still has room to grow. I made a LOT of money on CSCO over the years but it's no longer going to grow at its previous rate... which is why FFIV is now my pick. To me, FFIV will be the new CSCO. Worth checking out.
Sorry, I can't list any company ticker symbols here, lest I be banned.
You might want to consider how many many other posters with your approach (both investing and attitude) have come & gone on this discussion board. Your approaches are neither particularly novel nor, in the long run, successful. The merits of your investing claims are not improved by your sarcasm nor your personal slights at other posters.I put my cajones on the line when I invest. I do my due diligence with regard to the industry-specificity (and (any) related history) of a company. Fortunately, I cut my losses at around 12% and lock in my profits on the way up, just like everyone else. Maybe I'll get burned one of these days, who knows... but my tactics have served me well during my lifetime. My apologies if'n it ain't yourn cup o tea.
Good luck with your plan. You have a nice life now.
I think you've picked another winner.I'd like to respectfully request that permission be granted for my observance in silence from this point forward.

So, personal swipes toward me are acceptable (Lebed) but they're not to be reciprocated? That's fair.
Since this site is full of useful information - and since I obviously don't fit the mold here with regard to my investment approach - I'd like to respectfully request that permission be granted for my observance in silence from this point forward.
