Twenty Years Early Retired Today!

Congratulations!

Your explanations of how you manage withdrawals has been very helpful to me over the years. Thank you.

I'm the same age as you - and I find that now, when we saw we're retired, people's eyes don't bug out as far as they did 11 years ago.

Did you build a website to share your photographs?

Not anymore on the website.

We don’t even get raised eyebrows anymore, LOL! No longer a problem!

Congratulations! Thanks for being such a good resource and inspiration for those wanting to retire early. Hope you have many, many more years of happy retirement!

Good for you!

I'mma gonna have me a boat soon. Just a little putt putt on the Delta. Do me some fishing.

That will be boat #5 and me 5 years retired.

You're one of my favorite posters here Audrey. I learned a lot and was able to retire early at 58 y.o. Wife will be retiring next year at 61 y.o.

congratulations Audrey - as a relatively recent joiner (and yet to retire) I am going to have to go through your past posts and pick up some pointers!

Congrats, Audrey! I have nothing but respect (and a little envy) for someone who retired at an age younger than me (45) and who has been out for longer than me (nearly 11 years)!

Well done, Audrey! You sure are living the dream. No wonder your posts are so interesting and insightful. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.

Congratulations. As a 59-yr old too I tip my hat on your being 13 years my senior in FIRE. I just caught up with your well written „how I did it“ post. Is it right to assume, given the great state of the markets over the years, that your withdrawal percentage annually has stayed constant or even reduced? Or did you increase spending at all?

Long may you enjoy!

Congratulations Audrey! I also didn’t know how early you were able to retire. What a great life you’ve enjoyed since your ER. Best wishes for many more to come.

Happy Anniversary!

Congrats. I would say you have a lot tenure as a retiree, especially at your age.

I joined the forum at 54 just before my first retirement, and you'd think I would have learned my lesson, but soon got bored and went back to work for another 9 years before calling it quits for good:facepalm:.

Glad you have stuck around all this time. You are one of the sharpest financial voices on this forum. Congratulations!

Congrats Audrey. I read your and pb4uski’s posts whenever I see them, as you two, among many other good ones, are consistently operating at the graduate personal finance FIRE level. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Congratulations, Audrey. You are my retirement hero! Many of the things I've done and the plans I've made over the 13 years since I joined this board have been a direct result of things you have posted. Thank you for being such an inspiration and source of wisdom.

What he said.

Audrey; Congrats on the anniversary. I enjoyed your initial post and your 10 year anniversary post, but I REALLY loved this post, which I just read.

Do you have any interest in updating that thread with your evolving financial situation and philosophy in the second 10 years of retirement? I'm sure we would all enjoy the read.:flowers:
