Johnny Depp - Amber Heard

The responses piqued my interest, so I looked them up. After reviewing their film credits, I can say that I have never seen either of them perform. I have had very little exposure to modern celebrity culture for my entire adult life.

As a actor, I thought Depp was pretty good in the movies I have seen him in ("Nick of Time" and "Donnie Brasco"). He was okay in his breakout TV role "21 Jump Street".

I have intentionally avoided listening to or reading anything about the case. IMHO, the dysfunctional, abusive personal relationship between two celebrities isn't something I find particularly interesting. I suppose it's similar to how I find the vast majority of "reality TV" rather idiotic and cringe-worthy. There are much better ways to spend the limited time I have left in my life.

Same for me. Not something I give 2 s#!+s about the trial or the outcome.

The thing that gets me are all the "fans" standing outside the courtroom cheering. Don't they have jobs??

Yes, they are either students, or they work from home... :)

Word is that "Fans" were scalping line positions to get a seat in the gallery for thousands of dollars. Better by the hour than a job :).

That was law tubers trying to get in to observe the jury

And memorable in Edward Scissorhands, a lovely movie, worth watching when it comes up.

What little I've seen (and that's very little) if I were the jury, I'd award them both a win and award each a dollar and insist that they each hand the other an actual dollar before they could leave the court room. YMMV

I first saw Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands (1990). Then in Sleepy Hollow (1999). He's an allright actor. I never knew much about his personal life, nor am I too interested.

I did not know about Amber Heard until this event.

I think was a big mistake by Depp's team putting him back on the stand as a rebuttal witness. Seems they were ahead and attempting a victory lap then hit a brutal cross examination.

I don't really understand why this is even a news item. I don't know anyone that actually cares about this.

Who are Johnny Depp and Amber Heard? Is there a reason I should care?

Edit: Just read the rest of the thread and see this was already asked. Given what I read, I don't want to know so........ never mind.

I've paid little attention, but looking at Johnny Depp these days, I do not understand why some women still swoon over him.

I don't get why the judge let Depp get away with wearing sunglasses in court. Beyond that, who cares? DW has watched attentively, however.

Agree 100%.

Hey, it's Hollywood! Life in the Fast Lane! Hotel California - :)

Verdict reached. Will be read at 3pm EST. 30 mins from now.

I would not give it one minute of my precious time...soap opera, spoiled bratty people. No thanks.

oh, geez. i’m already scheduled to re-arrange my sock drawer.

Wish I would have done the same as you.

IMO, overall verdicts were a disgrace.

Oh well ....
