LBYM: Modest splurges that make you feel (sort of) rich?

I'm thinking of hiring a guy with a little tractor to muck our goat barns so that my wife and I won't have to do it by hand as we usually do.

hmm... small indulgences

orange flavored San Pellegrino
24 lb paper for my printer - extra bright
Arugula
Window washer guy - once each year

My favorite splurge is to suspend all LBYM rules when I travel .

LOL! Lazy asked me why did I tip the waitress in Miami Beach 25% since I will never see her again. I said, "Hey, I'm on vacation, and she's dressed to kill." :)

$26 for fabric to recover dining room chair cushions. Didn't "need" them, so it feels like a splurge and the room seems updated.

For me the best splurges still involve getting a lot of bang for my buck.

Go to the upscale spa, buy DW a gift card for full body massage and a full facial.
Actually I do this several time a year.

Breaking news...A seafood splurge consisting of a 14 oz lobster tail and 9 jumbo shrimp was devoured, in duplicate, in East Nowhere NY this afternoon. Wtinesses have reported big smiles and hearty burps.

dh2b cooked! :greetings10:

We just added extra pepperoni and mozzarella to our frozen pizza!

I'm saving my best shot at a splurge till the weather gets a little warmer. Maybe some nice warm and sunny April morning I'll be seen puttering in the front yard as the neighbors head off to work. I'll just smile and wave. :greetings10:

Cheap and PRICELESS.

Heck, I wave at them most mornings while out on my morning stroll. ;)
Never thought of it as splurge. More like an entitlement.

Valet park at the Ahmanson Theatre, downtown LA. Costs $20. Then, the valet shakes me down for another $10 to have my car waiting for me right out in front. It saves me about 1/2 hour which includes getting to my car and then being stuck in an underground parking lot waiting to get out. Makes having to see a lousy play to please the wife just so much better. And, for the price, I get to have people wonder who I am as my car is waiting for me--with a grinning valet included. I figure that's worth about a share (maybe two) of AIG. (Maybe not).

I have moved from drinking German beer to Belgian. The change has cost me about $20 a week or so.

It has improved the quality of my life immensly.

Bought a new tv yesterday and made sure I got a discount on the display model that was on sale, used a coupon, and used some discounted gift cards that I had been saving...I was the only one in the electronics area so got pretty good service on it, too...

And to think I had marveled at everybody using their home equity to buy stuff...

Bruce Springsteen concert tickets $300. DW is a big fan, I can take him or leave him.

If mamas not happy, nobodys happy.

Getting spa services like pedicures, hair cut and color, waxing.....I either barter massages for them or give a tip.....Love working in the spa :)
Another splurge is getting take out from this great chinese place that makes a great green roll....I get about 5 orders (6 pieces each) and they pack it separately for me as I eat some and take the rest for lunch :)

Hey, I thought the upper limit was $50!

Lobster is really cheap right now, well at least compared to what it usually is.

I love it but used to never eat it because not worth money per bite, now I'm grilling 'em at least twice a month. Makes me feel like Thurston freakin Howell.

Oops sorry did not see the $50 limit. FWIW I started with $50 tickets but they were in the nosebleed section.
It will be interesting to see how many empty seats there are.
