    $1,000,000 Achievement Unlocked

I do have a girlfriend and she seems to like the simple things in life as well. About half of our dates involve Chick-Fil-A or mall food courts. We only go to a proper sit-down restaurant about once a month.

ER Forum Dinner Get Together for Xmas

I'm available that Saturday. How are we going to identify each other? Should we all bring a dryer sheet with us and identify the true members by seeing who brings in half a dryer sheet?

    $1,000,000 Achievement Unlocked

Budget - I'm single and don't have any kids. I don't own any property and I paid cash for a new car in 2015. I sometimes do additional charitable gifts in the amount of $1,000 to $3,000 per year that aren't shown on the budget. My charitable giving is around 4% to 6% of my income. I also receive...

    $1,000,000 Achievement Unlocked

I'm still looking at 2036 for retirement because I can get a pension that is worth about a third of my salary and get subsidized retiree health benefits for life. If I happen to be offered early retirement, I can retire between 2028 and 2036 with a little smaller pension and the lifetime health...

    Meh at hitting a million

I subtract my CC balance, next month's rent, and next month's church donations from my net worth when I run the numbers each month. I payoff the CC in full each month. I'm still renting so no mortgage yet and I paid cash when I bought my car last year. So, it's $970,000 in cash or invested...

    Meh at hitting a million

I'm an occasional viewer of this board and I think reaching $1 million is at least worth a small celebration. Maybe you can have a nice dinner with your wife. Unfortunately, it's hard to share the excitement with others because too many people will just get jealous or angry when you tell them...

    CLASS OF 2027 to 2037

I decided to update my spreadsheet two days early. My net worth is now at $892,000. This is up $20,000 from January 1st, 2015. I also paid cash for a 2015 Ford Fusion this year to replace an 11 year old car. I'm 36 and looking to retire or semi-retire sometime between 2023 (age 43) and 2036...

Poll:What Dental Floss Do You Use?

I'm using the Reach Access flosser. It's not early-retirement friendly at 15 to 20 cents per floss, but it's very convenient and I hate wrapping floss around my fingers.
