Took it at 63 vs. my plan to take at FRA date (66 + 2mos), or possibly later.
Reason for going with 63, diagnosed with atherosclerosis at 62+ and got my first couple of stents soon after (seem to get another one or two every couple years in some part of body).
I have a mega-corp non-COLA'ed pension. I'm not sure if everybody can do this, but the "system" I log into for my retirement benefits management allows me specify 99 deductions and an additional $ amount for Fed and State Tax withholding so that is what I do so I know how much "base tax" I am...
I think Muni Bond interest is counted towards determining total income for SS taxation and IRMAA determination. Not 100% sure, here's one link I found on quick search.

Does anyone know if the the SSA (or whatever Govt. agency) automatically checks taxes returns each year (filing from 2 years ago) to determine (i.e.and automatically adjust up or down) IRMAA level each year?
Or does one have file an appeal if they in IRMAA stage X, and their income drops...
