Talk me out of selling everything

I will say it again. The stock market is a house of cards. Keep working unless you have a big pension or a FIRE blog or a FIRE You tube channel that gets enough eyeball clicks to generate a living wage to cover your expenses. It sounds like you are low on funds to retire early...

Challenge: How would you invest $1 mil cash in 2022 to retire today at age 50?

This is my suggestion also. VTI and a bucket of cash for 2 years of living expenses. This is the whole economy pretty much so if this portfolio doesn't work we are all screwed. As long as the markets are bailed out by the taxpayers again and again in the future you are good to go.

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

Major corporations will make Record profits despite inflation by price gouging. Move the profit margin goalposts and take back frontline worker wage gains. Because they can.

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

Those are CDL drivers that drive over the road. Tractor trailer division. Making real money. Tough job. The local delivery drivers are not really paid a living wage especially with Corporate America price gouging now using every possible excuse they can to erase any wage gains made by...

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

I just got back from a Costco run and I saw a Instacart shopper buying stuff. I am frugal so I would rather go to Costco myself and save money. If Walmart+ works for you that's great and I am sure the driver appreciates your generosity.

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

Hopefully those low income people qualify for food stamps or welfare. If I understand correctly Walmart has thousands of employees who qualify for welfare and Medicaid. So does McDonalds.

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

It all falls under the Walmart and Amazon Corporate umbrella. You are buying a product or service from Walmart or amazon. Buying peanut butter or a computer makes no difference. Just pay your professional drivers or independent contractors a living wage and stop the digital begging to...

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

The consumer should not be shamed with digital begging software asking for a digital tip to subsidize underpaid delivery drivers at companies like Amazon or Walmart. It is very simple. Walmart made a choice in the boardroom in Arkansas when they had to compete with Amazon. Everything...

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

My main focus is on the Multi-billion dollar companies like Walmart and Amazon and Costco and Target and Kroger. Restaurant dining and restaurant delivery and tipping is a different discussion. I understand the independent contractor scam that companies like Fedex implemented about 30 years...

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

I am calling out multi-billion dollar companies that are now using software at time of purchase to digital beg to pay their employees. It is pretty sickening when you think about. It's just good old fashioned Corporate greed. The thread is about Walmart so I guess they are the main...

    Walmart+ delivery driver tipping? Really??

Do not tip Walmart or Amazon delivery drivers. Let Walmart and Amazon and their contract delivery providers pay a living wage to their delivery driver workforce on their own. Ups drivers make over 100K with overtime so no tip needed. Corporate America is now trying to raise wages using...

Yes the Toyota RAV4 hybrid is a great vehicle. I was getting my car serviced recently at the Toyota dealer and the RAV4 hybrid would be at the top of my list if I were in the market to buy a new car now. It will be interesting to see what Toyota does with the next 4forerunner. The current...

    Investing in this market

I guess anything is possible. I just think consumers will choose the BEVs because they are better. More efficient and better performance and lower maintenance costs. 5 years ago BEVs were a hypothetical. Now with billions worldwide invested in this direction I would think it might happen...

But the next car they buy will probably be electric because they will have a choice. Electric cars are just now becoming available. There is a long wait now but in 3 to 5 years people will have the opportunity to choose gas or electric. Pickup buyers will choose the electric Chevy...

It is all out in the open. Follow the money. Capitalism at its finest.;) Why wouldn't Big Oil obstruct and suppress the electric car movement???? The electric car train has left the station so it doesn't matter now anyway.

    Investing in this market

Moab Utah is not that pricey. All types of people visit Arches and Canyonlands National park. Park passes are not that expensive and plenty of free hiking in Moab. Lodging is reasonable for a 2 or 3 star hotel. The Tesla model Y is middle-class with car payment. Not just rich people...

For those who are waiting to get back into the market...

It's a guessing game now as the market continues to crash. But right now the market is on sale. Setting new 52 week lows. Only you can decide to make a AA move. Everyone is nervous about the (world) economy. You are not alone. Relax.

Yes driving through Arches national park and seeing many Teslas in the park is wild to see. Just 10 years ago there were probably just a handful of Teslas driving in Moab. A Real world Observation method of collecting data. Dude. Follow the Big oil money. We cannot talk about it in...

The slow availability to buy electric cars will definitely buy time to help improve the power grid and charging capability around the USA. The average car payment now is around $712 per month and I have younger coworkers with $1000 car payments. If Ford can copy and paste the...

    Investing in this market

Yes I am serious about the USA finally upgrading the power grid. In 3 to 5 years car buyers will have a choice. Buy an electric car or buy a hybrid gas car. Most everyone will choose the electric options like the Chevy Silverado or Ford F150 lightning. In March I went on a 5 week...
