We signed up for Wellcare for Medicare Part D this year to take advantage of the $0 monthly premium. Today we got a card in the mail for BuzzRx, a GoodRx variant that apparently has some affiliation with Wellcare. Has anyone used BuzzRx to get prescription discounts?

Try it - can't hurt.

I found those prescription card things to be a handy bargaining chip with the pharmacy. I once went to pick up an Rx and they wanted to charge me something close to $200. I went home, went on line and found the same pharmacy would charge me something like $15 with one of those cards.

A little while ago I picked up a prescription at the same pharmacy. I tried to use that years-old card again, but they said it didn't go through. Again I didn't want to pay retail, so I went onto the card web site on my phone and found it for around $15. When I went back to the counter, they punched in their own pharmacy in-house discount and it ended up costing about $12.
