I look at my portfolio quarterly. I was stunned to see that it had a 16.5% increase since last quarter. One could hardly be a more hands off investor than I am. I mostly have index funds. A big part of the increase was from the stock of my megacorp former employer, which they passed out like candy for a few years there. Any financial adviser's head would explode if they saw my portfolio and tell me to rebalance immediately. I'll likely never do that.
