I'm sure he was a nice guy, but I never found him funny. The only thing I remember him from is this Oh Henry bar commercial.

I can't say I was a big fan of his, but I did enjoy seeing him in a few small guest rols on TV and in the movies. He appeared as a NYPD computer tech geek in a pair of Law & Order SVU episodes as well as a nerdy accountant in a hilarious scene (mostly improvised, from what I read) with Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop II.

Life on the road for many years is not kind to some comics and musicians.

I was sorry to hear of his death but will admit that I absolutely could not stand him. His voice, which I realize was his signature feature, was outrageously grating. If he was on a show I was watching, I'd turn it off.


Being a huge Disney fan, though, he will always be remembered as Iago in Aladdin. Still annoying but a role that served him well.

Had GG done nothing BUT Iago, I'd have probably been a fan. What a great movie and what a great voice act.

I also thought GG did the better Aflac voice. YMMV
