Go for Launch?

Congratulations! Living on the southeast coast of Florida, I'm privileged, now and then, to see a rocket launch while jogging on the beach in the early a.m. What a sight that is. Like a big orange moon rising, and then the first stage falls off into the ocean, creating a glow on the horizon that lasts for at least 15 minutes.

Do they ever fish out the stuff that dump in the ocean?

Not really because it is VERY hard and stoopid expensive to do so. A few exceptions are that the Space Shuttle team pulled its two solid rocket boosters out of the ocean and refurbished them. I worked with one of the guys that was the diver that went in to fish them out.

The old Mercury/Gemini/Apollo capsules of course because our guys were in there. SpaceX grabs the cargo and crew Dragon capsules out these days.

Bezos paid eleventy billion dollars or something like that to find an old Saturn engine and pull it up a few years ago.

That’s about it. Landing the SpaceX way is the future.
