I was surprised that nobody else has posted this.

We will see if there are changes that will make me change. We recently closed our Cap One checking accounts. Not because of bad service, but because there systems were less friendly to use than Chase.

Any thoughts on this?

On February 17, 2012, it was announced that ING DIRECT was officially purchased by Capital One. This is an exciting new chapter of the continuing ING DIRECT story.

Let's clear the air . . .

Why was ING DIRECT sold?

As previously announced in June 2011, our parent company — ING Group — agreed to sell ING DIRECT USA as part of a restructuring agreement with the European Commission.

Chase? Friendly to use? Now that is funny!

Well, their online bill pay is better than two others I have used... and there is a branch about 100 yards from where I work... plus, I said Cap One was LESS friendly than Chase... not that Chase was friendly.... but overall I am happy with them....

But yea, their fees are high and you have to have a good balance to prevent them... so I am not talking about the rest of their business model...
