If you are a WWII history buff and you're on Twitter, er, X, you might enjoy this account:
Second World War Tweets from 19xx
@RealTimeWWII
(Twitter handle changes year-by-year depending on the year he is tweeting about, will soon revert to Second World War Tweets from 1939.)
The person running this account, Alwyn Collinson, tweets whatever happened on this day during World War II. He just wrapped up the whole shebang August 18th (as in August 18, 1945) and has started over again today in 1939, starting with the false flag attack on a German radio station by "Polish soldiers".
It's a fascinating and interesting way to relive the history of WWII from the perspective of a reporter that is tweeting events as they happen. I'd go so far as to suggest if you like WWII history but you're not on Twitter, here is a good reason to join.
