My husband Paul and I decided that we had to change our lifestyle and move out of SoCalifornia to a cleaner, safer, more easy-going mode of living. We purchased 5 acres, a simple home, and 2 pregnant female alpacas as an investment in our future retirement. Maybe you have seen our story on Radical Sabbatical, FineLiving Channel? Anyway, within l l/2 years we were full-time alpaca ranchers and live simply, but debt free with wonderful creatures wh provide us with a very nice living and the propsects of a great tomorrow. We ended up retiring early, so to speak. Oh, sure there's some work involved, but the dividends are great, the tax advantges substantial and we love the lifestyle.
