I'm not one of the "he was dead for years already" or "he's not dead at all" crowd. But I wouldn't be surprised if this porn story isn't in fact 100% fabricated. It's a cheap shot, and I'd probably invent it myself, but it's so easy to invent that I don't think we can read very much into it.

So I honestly don't care if it is true or not. It helps reinforce the story that OBL was a hypocrite living in relative comfort with his 3 young wives, while his followers are out dodged airstrikes and predator drones. A vain man who dyed his beard and enjoyed porn while preaching the west defiled woman by letting them be seen in public in immodest dress. If only a handful of prospective martyrs are turned off by his actions, it is a worthwhile exercise.

I'll admit to a lack of numerical experience (see below), but I fail to see where three wives = repressed sexuality.

1. We pretty much give an inventory of what was taken. So every person in OBL's rolodex is scurrying to change their phone number and destroy their hard drives.
2. We tell the method by which we tracked him. So meanwhile the other Al-Qaeda big wigs are changing couriers and moving out of walled Pakistani villas.
3. Listing the unit and homebase of the Seals involved. Why not go ahead and give names and addresses.

I wish the talking heads would STFU (of course that is after they divulged the porn .

I assume/hope this is by design. Really other than the stealthy helicopters, I don't think there is a lot of information that hasn't be released in the Special Ops/SEAL porn that has been talked about in numerous books and the never ended cable TV shows we've seen for the last decade.

I think a lot of this is just designed to terrorize the terrorist. "Remember when OBL sent you the congratulation note on the birth of your son, now the CIA knows your sons and wives first name, you better move your family." I think it makes the most sense to widely broadcast that OBL capture resulted in a bunch of new intelligence, even if we didn't find anything but garden variety porn.
