Paypal account breach

Hello. Just wanted to pass on a cautionary bit of info. So yesterday I placed an order at Bestbuy and paid with my Paypal account. Later in the day Paypal informed me (thankfully) of an address change to my account: apparently a new gift address. A definite breach, as I made no such addition to my account info. Tricky schemers. I've notified Paypay this change is phony. I used to feel so confident using Paypal as payment method.

A second caution though - a lot of paypal "informing" notifications are themselves phishing attempts. And the scammers make these look very, very good. So of course, even if someone does get a notice of address change or other seemingly helpful warning, do not click, go directly and only to paypal via a separate tab or window.
