Does anyone remember the name of the website (I found it in these forums a couple of years ago?) that would link to your investment accounts and present a consolidated view of your portfolio?

I found it rather useful in giving me a solid AA breakdown not only by class but by geography as well.

If I recall, it would also make recommendations on "other" funds but that was simply advertising noise in return for free usage.

Don't know of the website you are referencing but I use an app called Sigfig which seems to work well.

I haven't used SigFig, but it sounds similar to Morningstar's Portfolio X-ray and Portfolio Advisor functions, start here. They work very well in my opinion. Some functions are only available if you buy the Morningstar subscription, but IIRC the basic functions in the "free" category are pretty good. I thought it worth buying the subscription when first setting my allocations, and I pay money for the "fully leaded version" occasionally.

I use Vanguard's Portfolio Watch to do it as you can define any non-Vanguard holding and it analyzes the whole portfolio.

I've tried a couple of these before with no luck. Seems like there are always one or two websites that can't be accessed due to the way they have their security set up. Anybody else experience this issue?

I've had a login problem with an outside account at Vanguard. Has happened three times in a few years. The problem is that the outside account changes their web design, or something in the authentication process must change for some reason. I'm currently going through a process with Vanguard at this time, and it has taken a series of emails to get it right. I had same with my 401k on two occasions.

When it is running smoothly, it saves me quite a bit of time when I capture month-end balances to Excel.
