I look at investing as an art. Trying to be correct in allocations, picking low cost funds, minimizing the tax bite, keeping track of.. and on ad nauseum. That was a pain to me, and didn't do all that great, either.
I try to not sweat it anymore. I try to make informed choices of investment but there is a 'feel' for it that can override raw numbers. That is the art. I diversify, and call it good. It keeps ahead of the market benchmarks, sometimes barely, sometimes much better.
I do like a well functioning spreadsheet and graph, but that's bordering on an OCD elegance-of-function appreciation.
Artful living is my real goal.
