The action, Paris South vs Progressive.

I received $55.50
What I don't understand is the $10,000 listed here,
"As mentioned, Plaintiffs seek an attorneys' fees award of $10 million, costs and expenses in the amount of $480,000.00 and a service award of $10,000.00 to each Named Plaintiff. The undersigned addresses each request below"

Is the "service award of $10,000.00 to each Named Plaintiff" something that goes to the lawyers for each client, or is that additional pay to the lawyers.

Lawyers typically recruit the client names that are used in this type of lawsuit, though it is not supposed to be allowed. My guess is that the $10K payments go to these synthetic clients. The $10.l5M is what the lawyers are after.

Everything I learned about class action, I learned from "Better Caul Saul".

Ok, not really, but they do get into the process of finding these lead plaintiffs. And true to the show, Saul's a bit shady about it.
