Recommendation for small business insurance?

My son has a small wholesale business in the Tampa Florida area.

It’s just him and his inventory in a small warehouse type storage unit. He’s looking to get some insurance for his inventory. I don’t think he really needs anything fancy as he doesn’t deal with the public or anything like that.

Does anybody have any recommendations for an insurance carrier?

I have Progressive for my home and car, but when I talked to the folks over there after 10 minutes of questions, apparently they couldn’t insure him for some reason.

I used an independent agent for 30 years when I had my business. He helped me a lot. He could place with different carriers & tell your son about hazards that might need specialized coverage. I started out with a captured agent but soon realized he was out of his skill set. Soon found my guy & never left

Yes. Call a few Independent Agencies and simply ask them if they know about your particular business.
