I reported this a while back, courtesy of my dad. He states that his SS cola is not keeping up with the medicare costs. He's about even over the last 12 years. While he estimates that his SS check has about 30% less buying power than it did when he first received it 12 years ago. But he's lived in a high cost of living area.
