First when I saw the headline, I said "Oh My!"

But according to reports, this actually is pretty common and nothing to worry about at the time.

I'd still be worried as heck..especially since there already are symptoms -- she sought an MRI because of memory loss in the first place.

"Thankfully, the brain tumor diagnosis for Sheryl Crow is benign. Doctors say that, like many who have the condition, treatment options like surgery is not necessary unless it produces symptoms."

I'll bet the brain tumor has nothing to do with the memory loss.

Personally, I um... What was the question?

I would be more worried that the memory loss signals early Alzheimer's. If it has started at her age that is a scary prospect.

Her rep said she has a meningioma. Although most are benign, not something to ignore. Symptoms can include memory loss. DH's cousin has had surgery twice for a meningioma (also benign, but may still increase in size, which puts pressure on the brain) after losing sense of taste/smell, vision problems, blackouts, and headaches. Another family member also has a meningioma with no symptoms, which is being monitored.
