Simple Dash Cam

So when you stop in a hurry, or are in an accident, does your camcorder become a projectile in the cabin?

To be fair, I think nearly all dash camera's would suffer the same fate in an accident, mine is held by a suction cup as are many.

But for just quick stops, I could see the camcorder rolling off to the corner.

I wouldn't want to put a $800 camera on the dash, too tempting to break the window to steal it.
Thieves don't seem too interested in dash camera's as there are many that only cost $30 new, so too cheap to steal.

firemediceric--that looks like a good one and great price.

Suction cups are a good idea. Looking into using those, or velcro to hold it in place. Whenever I leave the car, I either put it on the seat & cover it with something, or place it in the glove box. BTW: The exact same camera only cost $460 + tax when I purchased mine in 2018. Gotta love inflation.

We have a Momento Model 62, 6200 with Front and Rear Camera's.

We have been pleased with it. Very good video.

Fortunately, we have not "needed" it but we do like having it just incase.
